HOW MANY HANDS CAN I CAST?
This depends on the size of the hands and the container you use to create the impression mold. Using the five litre containers provided, this kit contains enough material to create TWO UNIQUE casts of: up to 4 adult hands, or up to 2 adults and 3 children, or up to 3 adults and 2 children.
SKIN SAFE ALGINATE
The main ingredient of BabyRice alginate is seaweed, making it a skin safe, hypoallergenic molding material. Supplied in 500g heat sealed bags, BabyRice alginate conforms to British Safety Standards (BS 4269 Pt.2:1991) and ISO 1563:1990.
COLOUR CHANGING INDICATOR
BabyRice alginate has a short working and quick setting time, so you don't have to hang around for long waiting for the mold to set. BabyRice alginate changes color as it sets, so you can tell by looking which stage in the process you should be at from mixing to setting. Full instructions are included with your kit.
STRONG & DURABLE CASTS
Each family hand casting kit is supplied with Herculite II plaster, a strong, white, stone casting plaster. Thanks to a fast setting time, Herculite II is the ideal material for casting. The white plaster provides a fantastic base for painting and faithfully captures all the detail from the impression mould.
